Mackenzie's on Jardine is an award-winning, beautiful heritage listed cottage
nestled in the heart of Mount Gambier in South Australia's Limestone Coast region.
Guests will enjoy the luxury of their own "home" whilst visiting for work or pleasure. Lovingly restored, Mackenzie's is fully self contained and centrally located opposite the magnificent former St Pauls Convent; a true landmark of Mount Gambier's architecture of a by-gone era. From the large deck at the rear of the property, enjoy a relaxing drink at the end of the day whilst gazing over the beautiful rose garden to Frew Park, home to many local cricket matches.
A two minute stroll to restaurants, parks, shopping and the local business district, Mackenzie's includes two bedrooms with king and queen beds (and televisions), a study/library or third bedroom with sofa bed, lounge, kitchen and luxurious bathroom with two person spa, separate laundry and toilet.
Nothing has been overlooked in renovating Mackenzie's from the fully equipped gourmet kitchen, outdoor setting and barbecue to the extensive DVD, CD and book (over 400 books) library. Warm and inviting bedrooms with quality linen and fluffy bathrobes and slippers add to the cosy heritage inspired décor. Centrally heated, you can also curl up with a good book and a glass of wine by the open gas log fire. Stop and smell the roses as you walk through the front garden and start to unwind at the end of the day.
Sumptuous breakfast provisions are provided as well as that welcoming glass of local wine or port and chocolates. Mackenzie's caters for the corporate client requiring privacy and central location, honeymooners and couples wishing to spend a romantic evening or two as well as small families. The rose garden at Mackenzie's is also ideal for pre-wedding/debutante or family photos.
